[x]We're back! After a failure of the drives in our database server, all data has been restored from last night's backup. The last 24 hours or so of submissions will likely need to be re-made but everything else should be okay. Please let me now if you notice anything not working as it should though. Thanks! -Petie

TDB File?
#1
There's a file on one of my PC games titled texdb.tdb. Trouble is, I'm having problems unpacking it. I know it contains the textures, as someone has already ripped them and told me so (but only showed a few of the textures they liked rather than share the whole lot).
But the trouble is that for some reason, they won't tell me what program they used, only that any 'ripper' program should do the trick.

Any advice? I can upload the file if anyone wants to take a peek.

When trying to understand any file type, it always helps (and is usually necessary) to know where the file was derived from.
What is the name of this PC game?

TDB as in Texture DataBase? Could be listing of textures or an archive containing the textures themselves.

Next time, do a google search like "TPB Extractor" because look what I found:

or this:

It's actually for the Fur Fighters PC game, floating in the first folder you open. It's about 63mb in size.

I did try that extractor, but it wouldn't work with the TDB file. It just seems to give me an unhandled exception error before closing.
