Croquet Saga Project - Gors - 05-21-2009

This is a project I started some months ago... I decided to make some sprites of my characters. My friends will be programming some game with them, so I hope it goes alright...

Here's what I've got right now. I'm going to update it, but not frequently.

I'm utilizing a style similar to that I draw, so it might have some weird things. Feel free to C+C, though Smile

Soo, what's the gameplay based off of? the sprites look pretty decent and easy to recreate, very nice setup of the sheet too.

well, I don't have any story yet, but I'm thinking of mixing different gameplays on the same game. For example, playing a Kirby game with Simon Belmont, and vice-versa. I like to think about the project as a way of test how you would play a game if the character was different.

Right now, some of my friends are still learning how to program stuff, so I don't think you'll be seeing this in action soon.

That's an intresting concept (minor MM: PU reference, though it being it's standalone series might be good), sounds fun to play.
Yep, that sounds like a good deal to me, though the sprites are still nice.

Update.

Right now, I have two playable characters: Gamegirl and Croquet.

Gamegirl has a moveset based on Konami games (Castlevania, Contra, Gradius) while Croquet has a fighting-based moveset.

I like it, like the sprites. I think a good story line would basically be if you are the girl and you can wander around (wherever you are) and explore. A life game in which you can get a job, a guy, a pet (croquet) ect....

Gamer Girl needs glasses.

The Croquet seems too much like that orange dude from that weird anime about nose hairs.
