[Sprite Comic] Trevor and Raika - oh ok - 12-15-2008

This is my first sprite comic.

Please Note: If you don't like sprite comics and/or can't stand Pokemon then do not read these.

Episode 1: The First Day of College
Episode 2: Trevor's Explanation
Episode 3: "Student Development?"

Story: Trevor and Raika have known each other since grade school and are now going to college together and will experience various misadventures

Characters:

  • Raika the Pikachu: Raika is a bit of a hothead and tends to act without thinking. She also seems to be somewhat of a pyro. (And no, she isn't based on me)
  • Trevor the Grovyle: Trevor is the more laid back of the two and is the one to convince Raika to not do something that seems to be a huge mistake.
  • Phil the Poochyena: Trevor's roommate. He's a bit wild and spontaneous but not to the degree Raika is.
More to come later

I was supposed to laugh, right?

How should I know?

Ok, this comic is not an attempt at the next 8 bit theatre. As a result, reading it may not (and most likely won't) cause you to laugh uncontrollably. However, surely this isn't the worst thing on here. And c'mon! This is my first time making an online comic! If you think something can be done better, just tell me!

RE: [Sprite Comic] Trevor and Raika - Out of Order - 12-15-2008

you used the same punchline in every episode

"POKEMON DOING PEOPLE THINGS Cool"

RE: [Sprite Comic] Trevor and Raika - Colton - 12-15-2008

I could, but I have no ideas atm. But you're right, this isn't the WORST thing. At least it semi-decent-ish-ly made, as some other comics are JPEG'd have crapy/no text boxes and unorganized panels. Like KirbyAce's one comic.

Well.

It's not funny. It's not witty, and it's certainly not canon so... why should anyone bother to read this?

Quote:2. Don't just say it's bad.
If you plan on telling someone that their work isn't very good, tell them why. And remember to be a bit gentle about it. Be as brutally honest as you can by all means, but don't just say "that's terrible" and don't get personal with it. Tell them how to improve if you can, and if you can't at least say that you don't know how they can correct it.

C'mon, folks. At least tell her how to improve if you see something wrong with it.

I think you should spend more time in the beginning to develop the characters, which will help you with your dialogue, etc., and the audience as well.

Okay, I'll work on that. Anyway, thanks for saying something that was actually useful.
