used the same colors...not completely sure if i followed all the 8-bit rules properly. That '3 colors in 8x8 tile' rule confuses me, because it looks as if the original sprites are breaking that rule :<

also some things might look off, because i'm using another computer monitor that seems to make things blurry >_>

well i tried.

To tell the truth I see no reason to remake the Megaman 1 sprites. Yours is pretty good I suppose, his knee cap bugs me. Other than that I think it look pretty good.

RE: megaman remake? - -Dark- - 10-19-2008

yeah i didn't really have much of a reason. :/

RE: megaman remake? - Ngamer01 - 10-20-2008

I see you wanted to bring a little Mega Man 8 style to the NES.

Two pieces of criticism:
1) The left arm (the arm on the right from our viewpoint) looks way too skinny.

2) The lower body and legs look like they're pointing at the screen instead of pointing right. Turn them to the right until they match the upper body's perspective.

You've got it right, basically when the NES loads up tiles Megaman's body is normal, but the face sprite is programmed to show up in a blank spot in the body.

oh, so megaman is basically 2 sprites in one?

kinda?
