RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Darky's Manifestation - 11-14-2014

*ahum*

ho-ly-shit, this is so good

a lot of people seem to be disappointed with this remix, because it doesn't seem that exciting at first which i can see. but it captures the character of that particular battle so well, as well as the design of the kalos league stage.

i love it that in this smash, most of the soundtrack is actually based on a particular sound, world music even. unlike brawl which was most of the times pretty much of just add a little rock riff or eletronic it up.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Darky's Manifestation - 11-18-2014

thread is now about me praising the music.

this remix makes me so happy, the most unfitting song in brawl was placed on the most unfitting stage. but now they gave it a arrangement this time around and ironic enough; now it could fit on the halberd, but i doesn't play on that stage!

one of my favorite kirby songs from probably my favorite kirby game.

Soooo ... my store got its copies of Smash Bros in today.

And by copies I mean copy.

As in there was only one.

...

I think all hell is about to break loose.

(We did get like a hundred copies of pokemon though ...)

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Kriven - 11-18-2014

Nintendo trying to push their eShop service by restricting the physical distribution of big-name releases?

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Jermungandr - 11-18-2014

Speaking of eShop versus Physical copy, would downloading the game onto your console theoretically help with online performance? Or would it not make much of a difference in that regard?

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - senjen - 11-19-2014

Copies at the EB Games near me are being released tomorrow at 9 pm PT so i get to pick my copy up early, unfortunately i'm working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so i won't be able to play much until later.

Oh well least i'm making money though Smile

Oh God, he went there. Sakurai went there. Ridley is too big to be a fighter.

>Character accuracy.
Farting Wario
Captain Ganondorf
Lucina =\= Marth

>Flying
Do I even need to.

>Character Size
Do I even need to.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - SchAlternate - 11-20-2014

Apparently, Ridley being a sissy that aids those that beat him up in combat is more accurate than him being slightly smaller than usual.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - TomGuycott - 11-20-2014

Sakurai has a few parallels with Geroge Lucas. They've both created fantasic series, and riding on those laurels their creative control later on ended up dampening the experience.

It's a little less extreme in the case of Sakurai, because this iteration of smash looks like it will be the best ever, even with its downsides.

I also could not in any way say that I would exchange any of the newcomers for Ridley. I've ended up liking all of them too much to sacrifice any.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Mystie - 11-20-2014

Sadly, I'm gonna have to wait until Christmas before I get the Wii U version.

My parents told me that they'd buy it for me as a Christmas present.

I won't be able to get this for awhile either, bills, groceries, and a secret santa own my wallet right now Sad

Not even Dark Pit?

In any case, this is just one of the reasons as to why I can't wait to see how a Smash game would possibly turn out without Sakurai's guidance. Maybe it'd be more community driven depending on who touches it? More technical gameplay to satisfy competitive players, all the characters that have been wanted for ages, equal roster representation and less Kid Icarus spam, Ganondorf playing like Ganondorf, Adventure modes not being cut because of stupid reasons like YouTube uploaders spoiling cutscenes, less trolling, less interview laughing, less have you ever made a game, less... etc.

Or it could go totally wrong. Ha ha.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Gwen - 11-20-2014

I would hate for Smash to become technical, I have a hard enough time online already, I don't need it to become like every other fighter that's complicated as all hell.

Also, is there really that much Kid Icarus spam? I wouldn't mind Ganondorf getting a more original move set though (although dat sword move doe)
