Vinny (in the style of Family Guy Desk Buddy) - DecaTilde - 01-02-2014

Well, before my computer problems, I started a sprite sheet featuring the Family Guy character Vinny in the style of Family Guy Desk Buddy. This is all I have so far, including a base.

I could really use some help getting more sprites in. And today is my friend's birthday, so be sure to wish him one, and make him feel welcome to the VG Resource.

Is suggest reworking his right (out left) leg. It doesn't look like it would be able to support any weight. The collar should probably be put into perspective as well. His body seems to be a 3/4 perspective, so his collar shouldn't be facing straight towards us. Also a bit of Jay Leno chin going on there. Not bad for a first draft man

First post updated. Added another eye base and some mouth bases. And I updated the sheet icon.

Wait, they get a new dog? Neat.

There are few jagggies here and there. And the feet for that desk buddy thing were all flat.
Some edits. (you had this in sprite projects before so I thought it would be okay)

Thanks, Ploaj. Anyway, I added some walking spirtes, a sprite of him with arms crossed, and a sprite comic of him and Brian on the bottom-right-hand corner of the sheet. And I updated the icon again (see top post).

Update: Added arms to the walking sprites (recolored and edited from most of Brian's walking sprites) and six sprites of Vinny wagging his tail.

While I personally think the thicker legs look better, if you look at LDEJ's avatar, Vinny's legs are still thinner than what you sprited here...
Somewhere between what the two of you did :/
Not to mention they aren't so round, either.

Post 6 updated with finished walking sprites and six sprites of Vinny wagging his tail. In the future, I may add some waiting sprites.

You know how Vinny said he'd maybe bring back an iPhone that fell off a truck in "Life of Brian"? Well, I finished a set of his waiting sprites, and in them, he's using a touchscreen cellular phone similar to an iPhone.

UPDATE: Here's another set of waiting sprites I just did. This time, it's Vinny drinking an amaretto disaronno, and amoretto disaronnos to Vinny are like dry martinis to Brian.

Well, the sheet is complete. And as soon as tSR gets back up, I'll submit it.

Note: Since he's one sixteenth cat, as stated by him in "Life of Brian", I've added some sprites of him landing on his feet.

It does look pretty good, but I feel something is missing. Like for example, when he is using his iphone, make it so he is looking at it instead of glancing it.

This is because the spriter is just recycling parts instead of redrawing it. For smoother, lifelike animation, you need to redraw the frames individually.

What parts need to be redrawn?
