ff9 texture - saya2091 - 11-13-2013

Hi, I just want to know a thing about the texture for FF9.

I want to do papercraft like Bobby Corwen the chocobo... I've found the texture in Ultimecia fold on this website.

The only problem is when I tried to match the texture with the model in Metasequoia or Pepakura, the texture have some black space and don't fit as well on the model.

I saw some text in the texture file so I delete this part and resize the orginal texture.

I also save in jpg to have blank background, and in Bmp but the twice don't fit.

Like this:

file:///C:/Users/Krystel/Desktop/gdggf.png

Thank you for your help!

Just to check, do you mean FF8 instead of FF9?

Could you please post a screenshot of how it looks, currently you've just posted the path to the file on your C drive, which nobody can use.

Could you not just move the UVS around on the model to fit the texture better? resizing a texture makes no difference to 3d software though, it won't effect how much of the texture fits onto the model.

But changing the size of the texture will affect the end result! Either way, if the texture is shrunk, there will be less pixels. If the texture is blown up, there will be pixelation!

RE: ff9 texture - saya2091 - 06-18-2014

Hi it's been a while, so here my explication:

This is I tried to do with pepakura. I downloaded the texture file from vg-ressource but it have some text on the file and when I put onto the chocobo, it doesn't fit ...

And when I tried to cut the text to have the texture only, it's the same, I can see my chocobo in black and yellow.

On pepakura, I tried to change U-Coordinate and V-Coordinate to see if something change but nothing Sad

I'm so saaaaad!

Help me someone please XD! Thank

Try trimming the texture in an image-editing program, in this case, it would be 128x160.

I should really do that for my Ice Climbers texture submissions.
