RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Mutsukki - 08-01-2012

We appreciate your help, but two posts above, robo9 said he's capable of doing, so let's leave at that until something happened.

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Iceman404 - 08-01-2012

He didn't say he'd take over, he said he wanted to assist. Robo9's post was a response to Metaru saying he's still up to the job, not that he still wants to work on it alone.

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Mutsukki - 08-01-2012

Metaru's post was talking about a second programmer, Robo said he was capable of doing, so I guess he means that he still wants to do it alone. He said the same thing about not having anyone else help a lot of posts ago, but I didn't reference that because Shadow Kami probably didn't read it (nor should he have)

I'm going to wait, if they need some help, I'll apply, if not then so be it.

Any experience with MMF2?

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Cobalt Blue - 08-02-2012

thanks for accepting someone else's help robo. we do not want to take the project out of your hands, all we want is to see this project completed, and its absurd to put the whole burden on your shoulders when this is suposed to be a community-fueled project.

For some reason, I just can't work with it to save my life. Sad

I would learn it but, to continue learning C# and XNA is a higher priority right now. Sorry that I can't help. I feel bad now. Cry

MMF2 is actually really easy to use once you get the hang of it because it doesn't really have a language you have to learn.
If you already know practically any coding language you should be able to use it pretty quickly.

I've shot the mug

Looks awesome, Virt! Only thing is, his hair is inconsistently lit with the face.
As for me, I'm kind of stuck. I said I had some ideas for my final attacks (Duck Kick, Back Kick, Forward Kick), but to be honest they didn't really translate that well in game :U
Anyone have ideas?

I would like for the attacks to be related to legs, kicking, footwear, etc. (as I've said before, the character's moveset is based around conjuring up objects to use)
My initial ideas for the back kick would be jumping on a seesaw to knock the opponent up, but it would look out of place, and it wouldn't quite fit the criteria (weak, evasive attack that knocks the opponent upwards).
I had planned having the character hop into a Kangaroo's pouch and the opponent would be kicked by the Kangaroo for the > kick, but I figured it would look weird, and would take too long to "prepare" the attack.
As for the duck kick, I honestly have no idea. I would like for it to be kicking related, but considering the pose he's in, it's somewhat difficult. I would prefer for the attack to be more of a defensive one (a weaker one that can be spammed to attack front and back, maybe even up, for protection and some damage).

If anyone has some suggestions on what I could do, that would really help. I'm kind of at a tough spot, because I'm a little short on ideas.
I'll try working on the mugshot, maybe.

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Garamonde - 08-06-2012

Maybe you could swing a golf club or some other object upwards at the enemy and it'll knock them up?

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - AuraLancer - 08-06-2012

For the back kick, maybe have him stomp, smashing the floor tile and the opponent gets launched by the floor tile he stomped on. It kinda goes with the seesaw. Or a wooden plank instead of a floor tile.

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Garamonde - 08-06-2012

Why didn't I think of that! That's perfect.

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - Baegal - 08-06-2012

I like that, Aura. But my only thing is, how could I make it start out evasive?

RE: THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE - Official Thread - [robo9] - 08-06-2012

Have him jump slightly back out of the way before stomping?
