[TUTORIAL] Converting .hkx files and import them into 3ds max - TGE - 06-02-2012

There have been some question about how to do this, and it is very easy.

You'll need a few things:

- 3DS MAX
- hkxcmd
- niftools MAX plugin

Get yourself the animation and the skeleton of the character that you want to convert.
Put them in the same folder as hkxcmd.
Open up hkxcmd in command prompt.
Type this:

Code:
hkxcmd *skeleton_name*.hkx *animation_name*.hkx *outputname*.kf

Install the plugin for 3ds max and launch it up.
Import your character and go to File>Import and open up your kf file.
After that you can do whatever you want with it.

You're the best TGE! I was waiting for a tutorial like this for ages! Tongue
It would help if you were a bit specific though...
