Use the bar at the top to navigate to different time periods.

I've linked to the oldest available.

I actually think the layout looks a bit nicer than the current one...

I also kind of miss that old logo.

Takes a while to load things, so just let it load. And you can read my incredibly poorly spelt update text about how I GOT SO WASTED MAN.

Hooolllyyyy shit how old do I have to be to recognize that layout?

also refresh my memory: tSR was on some host site before it got the tSR.com name. Do you remember what the original url was?

fireballx20 or some silly thing like that.

Fireball20xl, run by Psyguy.
I moved to my own server because he was demanding stuff and had a massive vendeta against me because I told him that he needed to stop being up his own ass a couple years prior to me running it.

I really didn't know TSR existed back in 2006... and I also didn't know it was part of Pixeltendo (glad it's not anymore)!

That is extremely fascinating, I've wondered what the old site looked like. That shiny logo is pretty cool too. Although the new layout is definitely better...

Also OMG Dazz made a Mega Man Spiderman edit!! Tongue

PT wasn't always terrible, back before I joined I'm sure it had it's share of great members more than it did flaws.

in its heyday pixeltendo was a fantastic place - i'd say around 2006-2007 is when it was in it's prime for activity, at least from my perspective since that's when i joined

there used to be so much enthusiasm there for spriting, it was great - i guess it was because at that point there wasn't as large a divide between the good spriters and the learning spriters, really everyone was learning together. it was a pretty amazing environment for anyone who really wanted to sprite

i'd say pt in its prime was far better than tsr now, but hey, it's hard to reach that level

I don't really see a reason to be glad Pixeltendo is gone. If anything, it's still here, in some form. The people are what made the community, and I can't speak for people that left before I even joined, but we still have a lot of members here that first made their introduction at Pixeltendo. I don't really get why people think that putting a fresh coat of paint on a house or moving to a new one will change the people inside of it.

PT was legit pretty cool
but people got weirdly obsessed with being ~good posters~ (which basically amounted to being the most obnoxious troll)
myself included, obviously
idk it's not just PT though, most of the internet seems to think that just being offensive and mean-spirited for no reason is like, the height of all achievement

I don't know, I haven't heard much in the way of good things about it during my time here, that's why I said that. Wasn't on forums at all or even the internet hardly back then, so I wouldn't know that much.

I'm sure it was okay a lot of the time, didn't intend to insult it.

Gonna have to agree with Jalopes here, PT was one of the best forums I've ever been to.

There was always so much going on (especially in terms of sprites) and there was rarely a time without any new content.

Things have slowed way down around ehre, as you can see.

Hoo, that is old, I'd only ever been to PT 2-3 times back then, i came to the main tSR site regularly however, and honestly my first impression of PT wasn't a good one...i avoided it. Heh i'll admit when i first joined here i was nervous posting on the tSR, not so much anymore, but now i'm just a lurker.

Towards the end of its life PT kind of imploded. The last year or few months gave the place a pretty terrible reputation, especially after PT lingered for a little while after tSR Community opened.

back in the day though

those were good days
