because you can go and make one hundred email accounts to spam an internet voting system towards whatever you want.
wich is why any serious voting panel/competition wouldnever, EVER use such a stupid system for anything that is meant to reflect quality.
so basically, either you stick to your honor code and just expect people to vote for you, or simply use some dirty tactic/massive callout to every single site you can to get votes.

This is why i felt kind of bad when i made the help thread in creativity. I felt like a beggar, and I hate this. Still, I appreciate the help and I know that people who voted on me voted because they liked my work, not because I threatened them with image macros. (yes, people are using image macros)
Again, I don't mind losing. It is a compo after all. But the least I'd like is to lose for a well-made chiptune, NOT a fakebit, and a terrible one at that.
I'll keep checking this regularly and let people vote by themselves. Being in 4th is really frustrating after all the work I did, but I'll play fair.

hopefully, the people hosting the competition step in and give their own final judgement rather than say "herpaderp, looks like this sanic remix gotz forst place hurr"
course, the outrage of an unfair judgement would outweigh the outrage of something winning thru cheating.

They say if they catch any form of cheating, the contestant will be disqualified, but I kinda doubt it
