Trying something simple for a game design, any crits? (Even though there isn't much to crit)

ugly as hell

the colors, even got from a fixed palette, looks dull and the whole art is blobby and scribbled :c

I believe Ill just pick them out one by one, starting with protagonist

The feet are facing me at a 67.5° degree angle, the torso is facing me at a 90° angle, and the head is facing me at a 45° angle. Pick one direction and stick with it. The colours are much better, though.

The arms look like noodles but with knobs on the end? Try to fix it please, it looks bad.
