Solink's n64 models - Solink - 12-31-2010

I never thought that ripping from n64 was so hard... I spent way too much time on this Tongue
However I will try to get more n64 models next(probably SSB again)

For my first n64 model, here's Link! Unfortunately, he isn't in a T pose but that's better than nothing, right?. This rip would not have been possible without the great help of Zerox. Thanks!

I never really noticed how diffrent links ssb model looked from the ocarina of time one, the textures, on the other hand, are almost the same.
the sheild didn't apear to have textures though

Ah that's awesome nice job man! I guess recently everybody has just been excited to do Smash Bros. rips. I think anyone else here who rips can totally understand the pain of ripping N64 models too so I commend you for that.

As for a lack of a T-Pose, for this game you don't even need to worry about it I don't think. Except for possibly Master Hand, I don't think any characters actually bend their limbs or anything and instead just have their parts rotated and moved around into different poses.

Ah fantastic rip Solink! I'm excited to see your success in ripping it.

I could place him in an unanimated pose give me a second. How interesting to see that you went on the route of rather than combining textures you just fixed them in their own individual textures.

Yeah that's pretty weird. It works in milkshape but when I import it in Blender, the texture disappears. I really don't know why... If someone could help me, that would be great

Yeah, I found it easier for me to do it like that Tongue

at this rate within a month well have enough Smash models to create our own SSB game.
are you going to try to rip the stages too Solink?

RE: Solink's n64 models - Shadowth117 - 12-31-2010

By the way, if you go for stages make sure to try and get the testing stages with the debug menu code or something. You'll need to play through the game for a few levels like final destination though or else they'll crash.

Yes. However some of them don't look like the original characters (like kirby)

RE: Solink's n64 models - valforwing - 01-02-2011

are the fighting polygon's the same things are the wireframe warriors from Melee?
