Not to be mean but, I don't think there's any way to give criticism on these sprites without having to revamp the whole thing to a totally new sprite.
And another thing, Super Mario Bros. 3 is on the NES, SNES, and GBA, theres no need for this at all.

This reminds me of when I first started ripping sprites - by which I mean I set my dads laptop next to the tv and copied NES sprites pixel by pixel in mspaint with my own colours - except this is nothing like what they are supposed to look like.

Looks like the mushrooms that Mario ate gave him a big head.
Never knew they could do that, and by the way the sprites don't look SMB3 styled.
They look more like a bad custom.
