That's better.

Maybe move the top of the mouth up a few pixels, that way it should look a little better

Ok,

What do you think of the silcoon?
I definitely know it's not perfect so don't bother saying it looks good Tongue

I think I'll do luvdisk too.

What do you think?

I think it turned out pretty good!

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Drazelic - 05-31-2011

Luvdisc is a bit too tiny, in my opinion- there's so much you could do to with its interesting curves and shape and I'm not feeling like the sprite's potential is coming out there.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-31-2011

He's right, it's just a bit too simple. No lighting, the secondary color doesn't really show, and it probably could be a bit bigger.

Also you forgot to tell us you were doing Luvdisc too.

EDIT: I see a little shine on the top but it needs more detail.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Pengoony - 05-31-2011

Actually I did claim it at like 47 min. ago then 7 minuetes later I posted my sprite.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Garamonde - 05-31-2011

Oh, I see it now. Well this might help you out a bit (not saying it's terrible, not at all but there are things that need improving):

I still like my old one T_T

Well we'll see what the others think, they're more experienced at sprites than me.

Although you're going in the right direction with the increased lighting and shading. As you know some G/S/C sprites are quite shiny.

...Speaking of shiny I forgot to make a shiny version of my Roselia... Sick I'll do that sometime.

Timburr family is mine (can't imagine anyone willing to volunteer for these abominations)

They're excellent, Nick. Big Grin

Still haven't started Buneary yet, got other things on my plate I wanna tend to first...

i'm sure there'd be somebody who'd want to do these funny ones! :p
i think an issue in these are likeness/readability, especially timburr.
this is due to the proportions.
i also think the palette could do with more tweaking on all of them- i think you can tell that both colours on each are too close too each other in terms of value.
keep it up!

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - NICKtendo DS - 06-01-2011

Palette changes and very minor editing
[Image: timburr.png]Timburr: Both colors from Hitmonchan

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Chris2Balls [:B] - 06-01-2011

nick, i think it's a question of either using black or white to shade, i think your sprites could benefit being shaded differently:

i also made a few tweaks here and there.
this is why i think you should spend more time on your production, and perhaps more thought on how to produce it.

Well, most of the sprites turn out okay. The Hurrdurr trio was exceptionally hard because of the beams/pillars. It was a dumb mistake of mine to use black shadows instead of white lights.
Great improvement, though. At least they can now be crossed off the list.
