Hmmm...This looks interesting that I might try it out. I'll try Ralts.

Drifloon was already made, but I don't know if these sprites are for the project. This topic sort of inspired this project to be started, but I don't know if Neslug ever said he was part of this project.

But since each Pokemon had a different sprite for Gold and Silver, having two sprites for each Pokemon wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Also made Shuppet and Banette. I'm not sure which Shuppet to go with (left has two shades of blue, right has one shade of blue and one shade of yellow).

Idk Dex, I mean, it's alright, but it has more of a RBY feel to it with the design. The GSC designs were much closer to the actual pokemon designs. It's mainly the face that throws it off for me.

Anyways, I guess I will need some C+C now as I'm not good at this style.

I only added the white on his right knee (our right, his left) because i felt odd only using the white color on his eye (The bead in his hair was also slightly darker).

I also need to know how to shade the hair in that style.

Feel free to fix it up.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Adam - 03-01-2010

Chaoxys, yours is really hard to read; It's also a tad too skinny, but it's alright overall.

I think the Torchic face looks fine, really. I used a few online references and the sprites. But, who knows, if you guys can improve it, be my guest.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Koopaul - 03-01-2010

Its the face. It doesn't look like Torchic.

I can clear up some of the body parts, but this dude is skinny. VERY skinny.

A good reference to shade spiky fur or hair would be Primeape in this sheet

Wurmple looks great, too.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Chaoxys - 03-01-2010

Tried to change some stuff, mainly with the chest and hair.

These are all looking pretty good, put me down for Manaphy/Phione.

Sad attempt to color him and still keep to the color limits.

Idk, considering I usually don't work with a limited palette and restrictions like this, I think I did alright.

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Koopaul - 03-02-2010

You do realize the white works as a transparent right?

RE: Pokemon G/S/C Devamp Project - Wes - 03-02-2010

Koopaul is right, the style is limited to black, white, and two colors. It's 8-bit, so it's 3 colors max plus transparency. White is the background during battle scenes in-game, and black is used as and outline (and sometimes as part of the shading).
