My LOZ Styled Mario Characters and Enemies - Shadowplam64 - 01-24-2010

These are all of my Legend of Zelda Styled Mario character and enemy sprites from Mario Fan Games Galaxy all placed into one sprite sheet. This includes my LOZ Styled Boos, Koopas, Toads with Princess Peach, Buzzy Beetles and Spike Tops, Bob-ombs and Bob-omb Buddies. I might add more sprites if people like this, if people like it then I'll submit them, you can also find all of my sprite sheets at Mario Fan Games Galaxy.

Is it good, is it bad, I'm open to criticism, I need to know if everybody feels this is okay before I fully submit this sheet.

Actually, they look pretty good. It kinda looks like you got the Koopa head from SMB, though, IMO. And some of the toads look more Marios Bros. 3 overworldy than LoZ. But other than that, nice job.

Thanks, the hard part is getting the characters to follow the color limitations and still look good at the same time, after that it becomes much easier to shape them properly.

RE: My LOZ Styled Mario Characters and Enemies - Koopaul - 01-25-2010

Not bad. Add some more enemies like goombas it'll be an interesting sheet.

RE: My LOZ Styled Mario Characters and Enemies - Vic - 01-26-2010

Not bad, but I think the Boo looks kinda weird, stylewise, because its the only one with an outline...
If I were you, I'd get rid of the outline, an try to focus a bit more on the face , like this (I hope you don't mind the edit Smile )

The Boos shadow looks a bit like feet, other than that pretty good.

RE: My LOZ Styled Mario Characters and Enemies - Deathbringer - 01-26-2010

The Boos don't really need a shadow, since even the Ghini's didn't have them.

Boos have shadows

However, those shadows look like legs, which makes it look kind of odd. Ghosts in LoZ also do not seem to have shadows.

I think he meant that according ot the games style, a ghost wouldn't need a shadow.
