I tried his sprites but the backgrounds had the same shade of black as his outline and he was often on a black background.

=Genki ^_^= very true, I actually have a muttonhead sheet but it's only half done with all the sprites of him in the first half of the game (been playing through and ripping as I go, at the first meeting with Clabberdeen Clotchsnyffer Leetzelwiffle Poopiewouffen von Venuncio Krakenlichter Ratchetface XIV right now) I only have one enemy left to rip for the 2nd map, the bonesickle and the the 2 bosses boney rubbler and the thunder dragon

glad you like, should be posting boney rubbler, thunder dragon, bonesickle soon, once I get the aura weapons I'll post Tatt, Mail, and Gaw sets I'm also working on Genki ^_^

it's a fun game, it's kinda too bad working designs gone now, there is also a snes game which is a bit more serious and has a slightly darker tone, this game only time it turns a bit dark is when Sven, Kyser, wriph and wrath die Genki ^_^

and if you get it and it won't run on Gens, try selecting Perfect Synchro (Slow) some reason Popful mail won't run unless it's selected

There's also a PC Engine CD version. But that one is closer to the original version on the PC-88. Which Popful Mail originally being a Falcom game, means until you get ranged attacks, you run into enemies to kill them. But I only know (tried) one emulator that runs PC Engine CD games and unless you register for it, you'll need to make a save state and reload within 5 minutes or the emulator locks up (its a five minute demo that resets the timer when loading a game or state).

PC88, and PC98 are the original versions. PC Engine is the most faithful port. And the Sega CD is the only port with a legitimate English translation.

If you play the Sega CD version, try to save before scenes once you get Gaw. More of his dialogs are funny.

RE: SegaCD's Popful Mail - Carpaccio - 01-15-2010

Paying for an emulator? Isn't that illegal?
Even if it isn't...I always thought makign an emulator was about the people, and their enjoyment, not about money, but about the love. Free your mind maaaan.

...Kay yeah, anyway, keep up the great rips OR ELSE YOU WILL DIE.

Not really but seriously, keep 'em up dood.

RE: SegaCD's Popful Mail - Ultimecia - 01-15-2010

I don't think the emulators themselves are illegal, and you're also paying for the programing, not the games themselves.

So far, good rips, keep on ;p

lol maybe but Think NEC's too busy with PaPeRo to sue magic engine for selling the program emulator of their PC Engine system, in anycase it wasn't too steap of a price Genki ^_^

hopefully today's offerings appease tSR, do not wish to anger the tSR would not want to die lol

RE: SegaCD's Popful Mail - Ton - 01-17-2010

Very nice. Smile

RE: SegaCD's Popful Mail - kydogan - 01-27-2010

Sorry been away a bit, and been doing a bit less ripping the past few days, but good news I finally got boney rubbler done! I dislike multiple sprite bosses that blend in ever so nicely with the background making ripping difficult Genki ^_^ lol

Oh I also got out a Enemy sprite from the frozen world I'm at right now in game.

Boss:

Enemies:

Hope ya like em! Genki ^_^ btw, at the first boss Wrip... or Wrath... one of the two sisters you fight there, I'll have her sheet pretty soon and more enemys.

RE: SegaCD's Popful Mail - Ton - 01-27-2010
