RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Kitsu - 10-29-2009

Lineart could use some improvement. Colors are too unsaturated. And it's pillow shaded in some areas, particularly the hair and bodies.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Bazzoka - 10-30-2009

Well, since i haven't seen any form of Jill ever, and due to the recent change of the style of the sprites, I made one of Jill. I used the Brawl size reference for her size.

Let's see, I used Mario's red and jeans, Kirby's pink, Mewtwo's skin, Ice Climber's skin, and Wario's yellow. The warm gray is from the original Drill Dozer sprite and the dark blue I had to make myself. Perhaps I used too many colours?

Sprited the Drill Dozer into pieces for easier everything. Her face was hard to put in there considering how small her head has to be to fit the proper size compared to Kirby.

I dunno if I'm going to continue doing Jill as I procrastinate, but I thought I'd get Jill started if only for one sprite for the heck of it. I guess I'll do whatever fix ups people suggest :V

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Shadowth117 - 10-30-2009

Looks good to me so far. The only thing I can think of changing is maybe adding an extra shade to the drill? Everything else on it looks great though. If you want to continue and all of her sprites that would be great, but you've already provided a great base as it is.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Bazzoka - 10-30-2009

An additional shade? I thought that there was a rule that each colour could only have 3-4 colours; main colour and then 2-3 shades? Or was that dumped? And I may have misinterpreted on what I should have done. I screwed around the the shading of the drill's swirl, like so:

After, I figured that you probably meant the drill as a whole. Still, it's there if you want.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 10-30-2009

I thought she was a little bigger than Kirby. Oh well if not I'd like her to be. She'd be a more effective AT that way.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Bazzoka - 10-30-2009

In the Brawl ref sheet, she's actually only a little bit bigger than Kirby. I figure she's roughly around the same height as Olimar while in the position I sprited her in. I do agree she would be more effective but then again, she's pretty good once you get caught by the Drill Dozer. Maybe I could make the drill a little bigger?

jill herself looks really off

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 10-30-2009

Ahem I'd like to submit my own list of Pokemon: Red= NEW, Blue= Altered.
NOTE: to lessen the legendaries I used only one of each generation's legendary trio excluding DP.

Chikorita: Razor Leaf
(continuously shoots leaves forward)

Torchic: Overheat
(surrounds itself in fire)

Piplup: Surf
(slides forward with water)

Magikarp: Splash
(replaces Goldeen)

Meowth: Pay Day
(shoot scattering coins in the direction of the foe)

Staryu: Swift
(follows opponent and shoots rapid fire stars)

Chansey: Softboiled
(tosses five eggs that can be eaten or thrown)

Clefairy: Metronome
(copies another PokeBall Pokemon's attack)

Snorlax: Body Slam
(leaps up and slams down huge)

Electrode: Explosion
(sets itself to blow up, can be tossed at the right time)

Bellossom: Sleep Powder
(surrounds itself in a sleepy mist LARGER than before)

Wobbuffet: Counter
(bounces back from attacks)

Togepi: Metronome
(summons random status effects)

Bonsly: Tackle
(heavy and can be tossed at people for great damage)

Munchlax: Swallow

(Deoxys floats around in Normal form for a few moments then changes into the following...
-Attack Form shoots a hyper beam from above that sucks in opponents if close enough
-Defense Form curls up into an iron ball that acts like a huge Bumper while following people
-Speed Form replaces Weavile as Deoxys dashes back and forth stunning the opponent but causing WAY more damage

Darkrai: Dark Void
(creates a large black vortex on the stage that sucks foes in then shoots them out in the direction they were absorbed)

Mew: Nothing
(drops a Music CD)

Celebi: Nothing

Yeah, I figured as much.

One last edit before I sleep, this time to the head. It was a real pain to try and work with that size of a head, so I upped it a few pixels and made her profile mouth more similar to that of super smash bros and her own game. Also, less eyebrow, but I'm kinda leaning towards having more eyebrow showing. By all means, if it's still not good enough peoples can go ahead and screw around with it.

@Koopaul- For the Moltres one, do you mean like it backs up into the background then flies towards the foreground and at an opponent? Or do you mean just on the stage itself? Either which way, I like it.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 10-31-2009

Take your pick I just wanted it to give a warning first.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Kitsu - 10-31-2009

What in the world is a "Chronicle Page"?

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 10-31-2009

Well I want to get rid of stickers but keep the Chronicles section which was simply a list of Nintendo games.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - JoseFran - 10-31-2009

I've tried it again with the pallete. I would like to be better in this, but I don't understand what do you say with some words and I can't use your advices well Sad. I think that maybe I need some help ^^'.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Baegal - 11-01-2009

its not really the pallette, its the way you shaded them. The hair looks very pillowy

I don't know what do you mean with pillowy... Can you explain me with other words? Sorry >_<

Edit: Pillowy can be like 'play dough'?
