Hmm, your image didn't show up for me.

Just re-posting for the new page.
Imageshack have been down for a while, or something. It is showing up just
fine now, at least for me.

RE: Porky - Ton - 10-31-2009

We could probably enlarge it and touch it up.

RE: Porky - Britt - 10-31-2009

We wouldn't want it to be to big.

That would just seem un-fair when fighting. Plus, it wouldn't be able to fit on alot
of platforms.

It probably wouldn't fit on some platforms at that size, now that I think of it.

RE: Porky - Ton - 10-31-2009

He's just as big as Bowser. And we can easily make it so the platforms are big enough to hold anyone.

RE: Porky - Britt - 10-31-2009

With his legs, he is wider then Bowser.

But I guess your right with that second point. Still, I don't think
fighting with such a large opponent would be a fair fight unless its
a boss battles.

Thats is, because you don't have to knock bosses off the stage to
beat them.

RE: Porky - Ton - 10-31-2009

I don't think size is a problem. You can fight Bowser with no problem.
I'd like to keep them at comparable sizes.

RE: Porky - Kirbyfan - 11-01-2009

I think that that new size is perfect.

RE: Porky - Wes - 11-01-2009

I think it's a little bit too wide. In terms of how much space is taken up on the lowest pixel (which would be the one touching the platform), that newest one is almost twice as wide as Bowser. Look here. The red is the space Bowser takes up on a platform. The green is the space Porky takes up. You can fit almost two Bowsers in one Porky.

Also yes, I know its jpeg. I just made this quickly as a demonstration.

RE: Porky - Kitsu - 11-01-2009

Well. it's Smash bros. You can get away with a little ingenuity, meaning we could shrink it to about Bowser's size, then say that Porky's driving a miniature version...

RE: Porky - Ton - 11-01-2009

What if we keep the current size and reshade it to look better next to the new sprites and just make Porky bigger? That way it will look like a mini-pod.

RE: Porky - Carpaccio - 11-02-2009

Personally I think it's good the way it is... Porky was always my favorite character in Earthbound because of how much of a jerk he was. I encourage you to keep this up. Also, are you going to do two versions of him, one in-mech and one out-of-mech?

RE: Porky - Kairos - 11-02-2009

No just in.

RE: Porky - TomGuycott - 11-02-2009

Just because Bowser used to be the biggest doesn't mean he always has to be, if anyone's made that arguement yet. But twice the width could prove unbalanced against some characters, either in Porky's favor or against it. But perhaps his width could be balanced out by the nature of his moves and by his movement speed and general agility. -Shrugs- It seems like it still needs tweaking.

RE: Porky - Kitsu - 11-02-2009

I think he should be made smaller, at least in width. Like Britt said, right now, as it is, he'd likely take up entire platforms, forcing others off of them without any real effort. The only viable solutions to this problems, without changing major game play elements, are

1)shrink Porky's width
or
2)make all the stages wider.

I'm not really even sure #2 is even all that viable, since it would require redesigning almost every single stage.
