There was a resprited co-op Kirby game planned for the GBA, but it was aborted at the last minute and 2 minutes of hard work later, they released Squeak Squad.

Me and my friends have been working hard on a Metal Slug-styled brawler game. We've developed a completely custom engine that keeps the standards of original Neo-Geo specs- only with the addition of zany alpha-transparency and special effects and all that jazz!

This here is the early development stage. Already we were facing some problems with choppy animation, high memory intake, and even naming coincidences! We can't have those!

After couple weeks of tweaking and adjustments we were finally able to solve the memory problems, and the animation had significantly improved, although not completely removed. We also incorperated sprite rotation because a game isn't a game without SPRITE ROTATION
