RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Shadowth117 - 01-07-2010

Well if you like it I guess I'll add it. As far as I can tell there's not any other Assist trophies that are much like that.

Oh and are we doing the koopalings or not? I'm getting confused.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Ton - 01-10-2010

I'd pass on the koopalings. Way too involved for an assist.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - mutantyoshi - 01-10-2010

Well, I know this is the wrong place for this, but since that the stage topic is locked, why not have the koopalings on Bowser's/Jr.'s stage, they come up and cause chaos...they can come either in individual, or the whole bunch on the stage at once.

Yes I realize that. Its pretty much on the borderline for the max amount of work someone would want to do for a level. Someone may do it, but I wouldn't count on it. Keep in mind animations for each individual character would have to be done if you wanted to do that.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - D2S-Speed - 01-17-2010

Maybe an idea for Scribble Nauts as an Assist Trophy?

I think there are too many options for that.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - ectoBiologist - 01-17-2010

Actually, a scribblenauts AT is a good idea. When you get the AT, a bubble pops up on screen with a text box. Inside the text box, either a Pokemon name, Item name, or assist trophy name is written. (It should be making a clicking noise as if the buttons are being pressed everytime a new letter is added.) Whatever was written simply appears out of a burst of light.

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Gold - 01-17-2010

I'm pretty sure we already said there would be no Scribblenaut because it's not nintendo and its too loose of an idea.

So, essentially, it'd be a randomly selected item that generates a randomly selected item.

Even if Scribblenauts was a Nintendo franchise and we could make a Scribblenauts themed Assist Trophy, your idea is pointless.

You might as well have an Assist Trophy as an Assist Trophy. Tongue

Heh, imagine if it picked another Scribblenauts assist trophy...

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - D2S-Speed - 01-17-2010

I can see what you are saying it would be too open minded for the AT.

Oh boy. I remember the Ditto idea just like this. :/

RE: Assist Trophies and Pokemon - Koopaul - 01-18-2010

Here's an incomplete list of first party ATs I think should be in. Blue ones are new. "???" are slots that need to be filled.

MARIO
Hammer Bro.
Lakitu & Spiny
Rosalina: Summons falling starbits that heal you by 1% each but there are a lot.
Fawful: Creates a large purple gas cloud that increases your damage when inside.
???

DONKEY KONG
Rambi: Charges across the stage once. Easy to dodge but can KO you easy if hits.
Squawks: Flies around coughing dangerous eggs. However the last one is the Egg item.

ZELDA
Midna:
Skull Kid: Replaces Tingle's AT. He plays his song and summons random effects.
Phantom: A bad assist trophy that targets the summoner. Can be killed by attacking its back.
???

METROID
Metroid

YOSHI
Poochy: Digs up random items but occationally finds Cards and CDs.

KIRBY
Knuckle Joe
Kracko: Flies around shooting bolts beneath him.
???

STAR FOX
Andross

MOTHER
Jeff
Eve
Starman

FIRE EMBLEM

Doc Louis: Gives random advice, when attacked he rips off his shirt to reveal his lepard suit and hunts you down with a Star Punch.
Starly: Replaces Starfy's assist trophy.
Golden Sun Assist: Not familiar with this series.
Lip: Drops three large blocks on the stage.
Takamaru: Replaces Goroh and slices about the stage.
Dog & Ducks: Dog sniffs around then jumps into the background to scare out ducks. A cursor will appear that will shoot for the ducks and players. If the cursor doesn't hit anyone the dog will come out and laugh.
Muddy the Mole: Pops out of the dirt and rolls giant iron balls to roll you over.
Captain Rainbow: Runs about shooting his yo-yo at people.
???: More to see.
