You'd think they would've saved the Mario Paint remix for the Mario Maker stage, but nope.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - NICKtendo DS - 09-16-2015

Just because there's already a Mario Paint remix doesn't mean there can be another. The one used in Miiverse is a medley, so I think that Super Mario Maker might get a remix of the flyswatter minigame.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Koopaul - 09-16-2015

Back when they made the Marío Paint Medley they probably didn't know they were going to make a Mario Maker stage.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - DioShiba - 09-17-2015

I'm cool with a Mario Maker stage, but I want to see more stages from Brawl and Melee honestly.

that and more stage builder parts.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - NICKtendo DS - 09-30-2015

DLC is out, at least here in Europe.
We get another stage per system, but this time it's... VERSION EXCLUSIVE, WHAAAAAA!? I know, I know, Miiverse is Wii U exclusive, but that barely counts. The 3DS gets the Duck Hunt stage from Wii U. Wii U gets Pirate Ship from Brawl. Toon Link finally has a stage on the Wii U!
Another thing worth noting is that, while there are a lot of songs to choose from per stage, only 3 are new: Super Mario Maker Title Screen, Super Mario Bros. (original) and Super Mario World (original). Super Mario Maker also has a My Music option (like a song) that plays music based on the theme. (The theme switches over time)
A lot of the music is taken from other stages, confirming that if a song of a particular stage is already used for a different stage, that means jack squat. Most notable are the Pirate Ship songs.

Mii costumes!
Business Suit (all types): I updated my Iwata and Reggie Mii Fighters accordingly.
Fox Suit + Hat (gunner): Used the suit to make James from F-Zero X. His hair in GX is impossible to recreate.
C. Falcon Suit + Helmet (brawler): Updated my Falcon Mii accordingly.
Toad Suit + Hat (brawler): The vest uses the Mii's favorite color. I created a Toad Mii, but also updated my Barbara the Bat to use the Toad Suit. It seemed like a good fit.
Viridi Suit + Wig (swordfighter): From Kid Icarus: Uprising. Downloaded the sample Mii (available on the DLC page of the main SSB4 site) and used that. Good 'nuff.
Hunter Mail + Helm (sword fighter): From Monster Hunter. I ended up using the Mail for my Simon Belmont and Helm for my King Arthur (G&G), because 2 Hunters seemed like too much. Speaking of which,
Rathalos Mail + Helm (sword fighter): YES! The male version's Helm covers the entire head, just like Black Knight's Helmet, so I used the same Mii I used for Black Knight and called him Hunter.

So does this mean there's a possibility of seeing Magicant, Mute City, Pac-Maze, and even Brinstar and Corneria on the Wii U as exclusive DLC?

Other than what the team decides to do, there is no longer a valid point for them not to be. I really want to see Pac-Maze and Mute City, but I like all of these stages, so I'll gladly cripple myself financially for them.

Oh, the Duck Hunt stage is apparently free.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Random Talking Bush - 09-30-2015

Nintendo's patched up their leaky pipes. Both this update and the previous one were launched mere minutes after going up unlike the Roy/Ryu update which was on the server for a few days. I guess that's a good thing, means idiots like me won't be able to leak anything anymore! Smug

Interesting thing I did notice about the Pirate Ship level, though. Its filename (XPirates_f) has the same suffix as other stages that are shared between the 3DS/Wii U versions (BattleField_f, Colosseum_f / Coliseum and Arena Ferox [both share the same internal name], End_f / Final Destination, Hyrule64_f, PeachCastle64_f, Pupupuland64_f / Dream Land 64 and StreetFighter_f / Suzaku Castle). Probably means they were going to add it into the 3DS version as well... until they realized that there's no swimming mechanic in that version and they'd have to go through a lot of working programming it back in just for that one stage. Or something.

I feel like this is fair given that it was already available on the Wii U Version, I see no reason why it should cost anything more.

Hope it's the same for any future cross platform DLC stages (Speaking of which I hope magicant gets to be on the Wii U version, plus I want to see that sexy looking 3d flying man that never got to be on the 3DS version make it into the Wii U version)

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Kriven - 09-30-2015

tbh I want all the 3DS stages to be ported to Wii U eventually... Wii U has the sexy graphics and controllers that don't cramp my hand, but the 3DS version got all the fun stages x.x;

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Keychain - 09-30-2015

3ds version needs to rottttt i know im gonna make lots of enemies saying that but its the truth

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - NICKtendo DS - 10-01-2015

If I was still in college, I would've played Super Smash Bros. for 3DS way more. Last 2 batches of DLC, I gave the 3DS code to my friend, because I barely play the 3DS version anymore.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - BullockDS - 10-01-2015

In addition to holding back the WiiU version (and probably greatly because of it), the Smash3D scene is a freakin' graveyard already. That and the Slide Pad really doesn't lend itself well to tight Smash control.

The only way I can derive pleasure from Smash3D is if and when people start porting more of those models to Brawl, so we can have Sm4sh models that don't make Brawl/PM take quite noticeable frame drops. (Who knew WiiU models weren't designed to run on the Wii?)

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Koopaul - 10-01-2015

Of course he could have just made the Ice Climbers solo, just like he could have made Ridley smaller. But I have a feeling Sakurai has a special vision for these character and they HAVE to be that way or they won't be in the game at all.

RE: TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|We have weekly Brawl tournaments - Kriven - 10-01-2015

Should have been Wii U exclusive...
