To be honest, the best Daft Punk album to me is the Tron Legacy OST... It was probably one of the greatest soundtracks of all time, no word of a fucking lie.
I love their other albums too, don't get me wrong; I think all their stuff is great. But this new song is kind of like they decided to have somebody else make a song for them, and have a Daft Punk-y bit in the middle somewhere.

I honestly like most kinds of music, but it really depends on the mood I'm in. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Mumford and Sons, fun., The Lumineers, some piano music (such as Yiruma), and a lot of Pandora of artists in between. The genre that I like the least would probably have to be country though, although I do enjoy some of it.

I think lately I've been getting really into folk music, particularly Irish folk.

So The Ocean's new record 'Pelagial' is absolutely amazing, even comes with an instrumental version of the record that puts the album in a different, beautiful light

I've been starting to get into country a bit more since I go line dancing with my roommates every week now. Give me a month or so, and I'll probably have a large chunk of songs on my ipod.

To go back to Daft Punk: let's not forget that sampling is an integral part of Daft Punk's work.
Discovery is mostly samples: great ones, but technically a lot of it is sampled (google around if you want a list).
Human After All was a departure from this; with RAM they are again embracing their production/editing skills, which they are undeniably a world-class act at (cf. their Alive album/tour).
They even enjoy others using their work (good friends with Kanye West, and worked with him on Stronger).
I rediscovered Mission: Impossible 64, and boy are there some gems in there:
Much more subtle than I remember this game being. Guess I'll have to try it out again...

Coming back to say that I do not like RAM. Even the track featuring Julian Casablancas, and you have to try REALLY HARD for me to not like something involving Casablancas. I'll admit I didn't give the whole album a shot, but what I can say is that if I want to listen to some Daft Punk, I want to listen to Daft Punk, not Earth, Wind & Fire. Get Lucky sounds like the latter, and they auto-tuned Casablancas!
Blasphemy.
On another note, I have tickets to A) Spring Awakening in Chicago (3 day music fest), B) Vampire Weekend, C) The Killers (ft. Gogol Bordello and Queens of the Stone Age)

- Give Life Back to Music - Decent song. A little boring, but not a bad song. Not my favorite by any means. The talkbox is kinda annoying, but old school sound, I guess.
- The Game of Love - ...talkbox again? Relaxing enough. Not really an interesting song or anything, but it's good for something in the background when I need to concentrate, I guess.
- Giorgio by Moroder - "...but everybody calls me Giorgio." Okay, this is the Daft Punk I've been waiting to hear! Oh, this jazzy part is nice! "...there was no preconception of what to do." AND THEN A MASTERPIECE HAPPENS
- Within - More talkbox. This song is pretty relaxing, though. It's not bad.
- Instant Crush - This song was okay, I guess.
- Lose Yourself to Dance - More like Lose Yourself to ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. With a title like "Lose Yourself to Dance", I was expecting something along the lines of Robot Rock or One More Time (or at the very least Get Lucky) that I'd actually feel the urge to dance to, and not One Hit Wonder: The Song. COME ON COME ON COME ON COME ON COME ON COME ON is right.
- Touch - I like this song. It's pretty cool. I like the part where the choir comes in.
- Get Lucky - Ugh. This song is not good. Pharrell's vocals are weak and the fact that this is the lead single of the album (and The Song of Summer 2013) is pretty pathetic. Boring. The synth part at the end is the only good part of the song.
- Beyond - THAT INTRODUCTION. More talkbox, but the introduction more than makes up for it. Otherwise, the song is just sorta okay.
- Motherboard - This song is pretty cool. Good background music for concentrating on work.
- Fragments of Time - Eh. Listenable, but boring.
- Doin' It Right - Is that an 808??????? This song actually sounds like a Daft Punk song! Doin' it right indeed!
- Contact - Cool song. Good background music.
All in all I liked 6/13 and actively disliked 2/13 (both just happened to be Pharrell's songs, and I like Pharrell :/)
The rest were listenable but just okay.
I guess the album is decent, but it's no Discovery.
I want the funky electronic party Daft Punk back, but I guess expecting them to keep the same sound after 12 years is a bit much.

I listen to a lot of music in general and to be quite honest with myself my tastes are completely varied. As long as I find quality in the music then I'll listen to it.
EDIT: Actually scratch the other thing I said earlier.
Instead, let me share why I enjoy artists like this:
Not too many lyrics, the beats are relaxing as hell and they make me think to some extent.
I just love really chill music like this.
