RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

I don't know why he'd have a worried expression if he's getting a smash attack on his opponent.

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

Porky's FS; Devil's Machine

-The stage grows dark except for Porky. A bubble pops up (EB style) that reads "So, isn't this terrifying? I'm terrified too."
-The "lights" come up (red tinge) to show that the stage background has been superimposed with a pulsating Giygas background (Think Palutena in Pit's FS, but it takes up the whole stage.)
-Another text bubble; "You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas's attack."
-Unseen forces attack the other players- maybe an effect like the Psychic attack in Pokemon?
-Lights fade in to normal, knockback, etc.

Also, make it can only effect people in a Certain proximity around Porky (Like Luigi or DK) so it's not unavoidable? If we make it unavoidable it will have to be weaker like Olimar's.

Updating the forward smash to make it better and smoother. More later. Does someone want to try to give him arms? I've tried several times and failed miserably. On his hips would be a good pose, I think.

RE: Porky - Britt - 04-21-2010

When he crouches he needs to sit fat against the ground.

Otherwise he dodgin nothin.

Theres a few characters who's crouch makes literally no difference at all, so I don't see the problem if his doesn't either. It would be funny though if Porky ducks as well while in the machine.

That is a much better idea than what I had. I'd love to help ya come up with the rest of the moveset (unless you have it planned)

Also when were Pokey-Bots added to the moveset? (I know the topic's called "Porky" but I prefer to call him by his American name, "Pokey Minch"

RE: Porky - Britt - 04-21-2010

What do you guys think of this move set for Porky?

I highlighted in red some things I'm not sure off, so tell if you think those
moves are ok or not.

Edit: Before anyone replies, some of these moves were taken from a move
set a friend of mine created. but I got permission to use them when putting
this one together.

AAA - Kick, Kick, Then a short burst of energy protruding from the eye.
- Somewhat to Rob's laser when not fully charged.

Down Smash - Legs on one side swipe downward for a trip maneuver.

Standard Smash - Legs on one side stick out for a stab attack.

Up Smash - Leans down for power, then quickly jumps in the air and lands.
- Some sort of upward headbutt using the glass dome rather then his head.

Standard Special - Fires a small beam/ball of energy from the Mech's eye.
- Chargeable

Side Special - Creates a fog of noxious gas to stun the enemy.

Up Special - Warps upward.
- Must have great distance, since his regular jumps get close to none.

Down Special - Rapidly stamps legs into ground, causing an earthquake.
- Similar to DK's, but a big faster due to having more legs than DK has of hands.

Grab - Grabs with the Mech's pinsers.
-Very short distance.

Grab Attack - Sprays with Noxious gas.
- Rather than getting stunned, it actually causes damage in The same manner
as if you were off screen but not dead.

Forward Throw - Throws forward, then swipes at the enemy with the Mech's legs.

Backward Throw- Same as forward, but throws in the opposite direction.

Down Throw- Slams the enemy onto the ground, then stomps with the Mech's legs.

Down Aerial- Legs come to a point and stab downward.

Forward Aerial - Legs kick forward.

Backward Aerial- Legs kick backward.

Final Smash - Devil’s Machine

The Devil's Machine appears, and then explodes.
Giygas appears as the stage background, and everyone starts taking 5-10% damage
second. Giygas's incomprehensible attack can be activated by pressing the "A" button.
- Porky's Final Smash cannot be avoided.

Decided to repost.

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

Gonna make some changes based on ideas I had.
(04-21-2010, 07:50 PM)Britt Wrote: AAA...- poke poke- uses front legs to poke foe. Does not rapid hit.

Down Smash - Pulls legs up and spins around on the base of the pod

Standard Smash -Lunges forward and slashes downward with front legs.

Up Smash - Bubble over pod flips open

Standard Special - Fires a small beam/ball of energy from the Mech's eye.
- Chargeable

Side Special- Not sure yet

Up Special - Warps upward. Alternatively, some kind of hover a la ROB

Down Special - Releases a Porky-Bot. A second Down Special makes it explode. Only two can be out at once. May be duds.

Grab - Grabs with the Mech's pinsers.
-Very short distance.

Grab Attack- Eye sparks, damaging the grabbed character.

Forward Throw - Throws forward, then swipes at the enemy with the Mech's legs.

Backward Throw- Not sure yet. Don't want to reuse the bubble shield throw.

Giygas appears as the stage background, and everyone starts taking 5-10% damage

- Porky's Final Smash cannot be avoided.

What if we skip the Devil's Machine and go straight to Giygas? Would we have to rename it if we did that?

RE: Porky - Britt - 04-21-2010

It wouldn't be... how to put it...
Correct to the Storyline? Get what I'm saying?

Despite, if we do it anyways, it would need a name change.

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

I'm not sure what you mean about connecting to the storyline. Porky and Giygas are there together in the final battle.

RE: Porky - Britt - 04-21-2010

Yea, but the way it goes is at first, you fight Giygas's suppressed form in the Devil's Machine.

After, you defeat it, Porky releases it from the Devil's machine. As apposed to just coming out
of no where like you are suggesting.

I have no problem with it, not say other people might not. Some people can be a bit fanboy-ish.

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

We can just assume that he unleashes the released Giygas. Tongue

Can someone animate the lunge (in the blue rectangle) so I can see how choppy it is? I dread what those joints end up looking like. Thanks!

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

Ok, this might be better.

RE: Porky - A.J. Nitro - 04-21-2010

I think that's it. I like it.

RE: Porky - Ton - 04-21-2010

It's gonna be a pain to put Porky in there. Dammit.
