Where did you download it? Please download it from the link I posted above and follow the installing intructions, it sounds like you installed it wrong and got some files missing.

After the recent C&D's of Super Mario Bros X. and Streets of Rage Remake, I sure hope this isn't killed by Nintendo or SEGA or Bungie or any other company any time soon. The new stuff looks amazing, by the way. Can't wait for 0.5 beta!

Well, the SMBX thing was kind of fishy, it was never confirmed if it was really Nintendo who called, but anyway, if we ever got some similar situation, the project wouldn't die, we'd just have to remove the content from the company/franchise we got in it, so don't worry about it.

The only ones that would really be a mess are Nintendo, Capcom and SEGA, but Capcom doesn't care about fan games, well, they do but not in a bad way, they actually encourage them; Nintendo doesn't care either, before SMBX they never cared and it still wasn't confirmed if it was really Nintendo or some hoaxer, and SEGA only has gone after remakes of their own games, which isn't the case here, so yeah I wouldn't worry about it.

Smaller ones like Bungie, heh, no biggie, we'd just have to remove the 3 Halo based levels we got and change Spartan Mario's suit to something else.

a couple interesting updates that we hope make those Sonic fans happy; Lars Luron, a fellow developer, recently completed 2 Sonic levels for MKF: Collision Chaos Zone and Bridge Zone (revamp)

Heh, it's been a while since I posted any update in here.

We've made a ton of new levels, 0.5's release is getting close, and I wanted to post a few updates that should make all the Mega Man, Metroid, Sonic and Resident Evil fans happy.

Zebes: a huge level you have to explore, with lots of paths and secrets, it's as close as we could make it to give it that Metroid unique atmosphere.

Air Base: an Air Man based level that also features Tornado Man, and something else, really epic. I just wonder if Mario and friends can beat Air Man.

Raccoon City: not much to say about this one, just try to survive. Features Jill Valentine as an NPC.

And Green Grove Zone: a Sonic level based on many "first acts" from the Sonic series.

I hope you like them.

World 8-F3 (Lolo's Castle) by Del and others:

Quote:LoLo, also known as Lololo, is a character that was originated in the Eggerland series (by HAL Laboratory), where he was the main playable character. The series also had three games on the NES (Adventures of LoLo 1, 2 and 3). Later in 1992, LoLo was moved into Kirby's franchise, but here he was one of the bosses, appearing for the first time in Kirby's Dreamland; however, he was renamed to Lololo, making this character a different one.

In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, LoLo's Castle will be a level that fuses both incarnations into one. The level is basically divided in two. The first part is heavily based on Kirby's Castle Lololo, and it has most of its original enemies in it such as Chuckie, Two Face, Mumbies, Flapper, etc. Later you will encounter LoLo and LaLa, who will fight you in an attempt to defend their castle. Their patterns are very similar to the originals, but it's adapted and balanced to work with MKF's mechanics and difficulty.

Once you defeat them, they will explain they were being controlled by King Egger, the original and main villain of the Eggerland series, who took over LoLo's Castle. From this point, the level will be based on LoLo's original series, which were more focused around puzzle solving. LoLo and LaLa will join you in the fight, assisting with their magic turning enemies into eggs you can use to solve various puzzles around. Various popular enemies from there such as the Medusa Statues, Snakey, Rocky and Gol will come back.

Music:
-Castle Lololo's theme (which for some reason now is also used for Dynablade in the latest Kirby games)
-Boss Battle theme (from Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland)
-Adventures of LoLo 1, 2 and 3's main themes.

Note: it's possible that not all the music shown in the video will be used in the end.

Developed and recorded by Del.

Special thanks to Captain Cook for helping coding some of the objects/enemies, and Din for coding the first Boss Battle and some more enemies; to Rockman (aka Firamage) for reshading most of the sprites, and Moneyman and WhiteRoseBrian for helping with some more sprites too.

Del you bum, you haven't updated this thread.

Abstract Landscape
A minus world level made by gladiacloud that features Marble Madness, Qix, and Quarth.

Lab of the Fusionist
A world 5 stage made by Del. This stage features one of the main MKF villains - The Fusionist. He's a mad scientist obsessed with fusing things together, especially living things.

Fillmore Weald
A world 6 stage made by me. It's based on ActRaiser.

Midoro Palace
A world 8 stage made by me and based on Zelda 2. Del made the secret area but who cares about that Tongue

Gradius Speedzone
A world 9 stage based on Gradius and made by Del.

Infested Station
A world 9 stage mostly based on Contra, also made by Del. Clearly he has no life.

We are still working on bugfixing beta version .5 for a release. I should point out that none of these stages sans Fillmore Weald will be in .5

2:06 when the ice balls hitting the enemies, they have a red hit sfx in form of a little fireball. I would colour this sfx also blue.

Oops, somehow missed that reply above. The rods have gotten a makeover so that is no longer an issue.

Here is a preview for the Wily boss stage in world 3, made by Lars Luron:

From the description:
Quote:Happy Decemberween, everyone! Here's Lars Luron again with a special holiday treat: The penultimate level in The Megaverse, World 3 of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Wily Citadel 4.

This section of Wily's stronghold is fairly short, but contains several lesser-encountered enemies from several of the world's other levels. And what Wily fortress would be complete without the infamous Portal Chamber? 8 robot masters stand between the Coalition and their fated encounter with the infamous Dr. Wily. Even after you manage to get past them, though, Wily will face against you himself in one of his deadly Wily Machines.
Which one? We're not going to spoil the secret for everyone- you'll have to wait until the level goes live, whenever that may be...

Main stage music: Rockman 5 Complete Works: Wily Fortress stage
Portal music: Mega Man 3 OCRemix "A Daring Escape", by Jago.
-The portal music is not part of the level itself, it's just used for cinematic purposes.

This stage will be available in future versions past .5

Whenever a world boss is defeated, it triggers a change in a World 1 stage that allows you to access the next world through it. At this point in the beta the trigger is simply an on/off block within the stage itself.

From the description:

Quote:Developer Lars Luron strikes again, this time with the World Exit connecting to World 7: Mobius. This exit connects W1-6, Desert Hill, with the classic Oil Ocean Zone, complete with Robotnik's trusty Egg Robo piloting the Submarine Eggman mk II.
