RE: [IDEA] Pokemon Card GB Expansion | New Sprites 12/16/11, Welcome to the Team Kyleglor - Yo-Yo Boy - 12-17-2011

I found some new addresses.
Code:
Remaining opponent prize cards: 01:d0bd
Player co-ordinates: X = 00:cfcd Y = 00:cfcc

Great stuff Yo-Yo Boy. Though, by coordinates, it means like when you're inside a building, correct?

Pupitar [Image: NeoDiscoveryExpansionSymbol.png]

Ploaj: I think if maybe you added one more colour (I think you only used seven) and did some checker blending (I don't know if there's a "correct" term for that, but it's like the second to the bottom stratum in this Pupitar sprite) it'd look more "complex". Hope that helps!

Edit: Hm, can I get you guys/girls' input? I messed around with the Pupitar sprite.

In that one I got rid of yellow so I could use an orange for that penultimate stratum. The yellow outline was replaced with "white".

But then I thought that the outline looked really weak, so I kept the orange and checkered in the the outline with orange.

Which out of the three seems better?

You mean dithering. And I do believe that dithering might add a little more to your sprites Ploaj, so I'd try that.

Also nice Pupitar, third one's the best. Pupitar is awesome.

Can't seem to view the sprites within the spoiler tags. Although owning plenty of cards from these expansions, I'd be glad to help. I'd like to know how grabbing the pallete from the cards onto 8-bit works too.

Hm, you did read the underlined text above the spoilers, right? [Image: smirk.png]

What I do is I just pick colours from the stock image until I have my palette and make the sprite. Then, when I'm saving it, in the Save Configuration window, I select 8-bit under Bit Depth. I'm using Paint.NET by the way.

Okay, just started doing the Neo Discovery release of Evee.

It won't be long until I upload it, but it's gonna take awhile.

Cool stuff. I'll be doing the Japanese release of that card soon, and probably Neo Discovery Espeon. I did Neo Discovery Umbreon so I kind of want to do the group of those three.

This is how far I got before my computer decided to crap out and lag. Bah.

That's looking pretty ace so far. Hope to see it finished.

I'm guessing some of us are using the same technique the pixel workers did while they were working on the original two?

Thats correct.

I really love this one. Especially because it's a metal type. Metal types are my favorite.

Looking good so far Gaia. You are staying within the eight colour limit, right?

RE: [IDEA] Pokemon Card GB Expansion | New Sprites 12/18/11 - Garamonde - 12-18-2011

*Steel-Type, you mean. Tongue

That is pretty rockin', definitely near the top of my faves now.

RE: [IDEA] Pokemon Card GB Expansion | New Sprites 12/18/11, Restructured OP - Plino - 12-18-2011

Ha ha, in the GAMES it's called the Steel type. In the TCG it's called the Metal type. Just like how Electric types are Lightning, Normal types are Colorless, and Dark types are Dakness. Pretty weird, huh?

Anyway, I decided to restructure to OP yet again, this time ordering cards by set number, instead of order of completion. I did away with the spriter's name right before the card's name, since that would cause confusion and look messy with owner's Pokemon, instead putting it in small italics below the sprite, like the illustrator's name in the actual cards. I hope everyone is fine with that? I also got rid of the expansion symbol after the card name, since that's redundant in the OP, replacing it with the card's place in the set. Although, when postings sprites, you can still do what your doing, yeah? As in, don't bother putting in its number, keep the expansion symbol, etc. I'll fix it up when adding it to the OP.

Yeah, I'm just weeding out the unecessary stuff before I start coloring.
